| Tiivistelmä: | In the discussion of the intellectual capital, there are the following three main themes: intangible assets, dynamic capabilities for creating and modifying these assets, and the social relationships for the knowledge processes to take place, i.e. social capital. This paper empirically investigates how social capital contained in both intra- and inter-organizational relationships of firms is related with organizational growth. The results suggest that contrary to the theoretical claims in the current literature, social capital has only scarce role in promoting organizational growth. |
