| Tiivistelmä: | The paper investigates the flexibility patterns of foreign owned companies compared with domestic owned firms in five European countries. EUCOWE dataset, an enterprise survey of six countries in 2003, is utilized in the analysis. The findings reveal a hierarchy of effects that influence the flexibility patterns of organizations. The study results support the argument that the institutional framework of countries is a key element for organization of labor even within multinational companies. |
