Tiivistelmä: | Tangible results play an important role when chief knowledge officers(CKOs) persuade their companies to adopt a knowledge management agenda. The article investigates the relationships between the extent to which a small and medium-sized enterprises(SMEs) possess a chief knowledge officer, its knowledge management practices, and the strength of its customer capital. An empirical research of 164 SMEs in the Spanish construction industry is conducted. The results indicate that knowledge management responsibilities can be divided into three categories: learning from demand, context in time, and open-mindedness. |
