Tiivistelmä:This article explores regulatory (henceforth as: regly.) developments related to employee representation in post-socialist (herein as: p-s.) corporate governance (here as: c-g.) systems in Central Europe. It considers the applicability of different theories on p-s. industrial relations focusing on domestic, European and international forces with special attention on the Hungarian case. Regly. developments of the early 2000s are studied, with a focus on the 3rd p-s. Company Law of 2006. The law reform is argued to dimish effective employee representation in p-s. systems of c-g. It is concluded that these developments can be adequately understood merely as the result of the interplay btw. various social forces at the national, European and international level.
