Tiivistelmä:This paper aimed to study psychological capital and its relationship with personality across cultures by comparing the main variables across three distinct cultural settings: Eastern Europe (Bulgaria), Nordic countries of Europe (Finland), and Southern Europe (Portugal). In total 231 people answered the questionnaires. Based on the results, personality and psychological capital are indicated to be connected.
Especially 'Extraverted' (p < 0.01), 'iNtuitive' (p < 0.01) and 'Thinking people' (p < 0.01) showed higher scores in all psychological capital dimensions than their counterparts: 'Introverted', 'Sensing and Feeling people'. Also, there were remarkable differences as to the level of psychological capital in different countries. The results illustrate important and previously unidentified relationships btw. psychological capital and personality in distinct cultures. (There are more results presented in detail.)
