Tiivistelmä:In industrial and mining activities, the elimination of wastes is one of the main concerns. The reutilization of industrial wastes and the use of recycled materials in construction applications have been a common practice and have grown worldwide over the last decades. The article examines that washing aggregate sludge from a gravel pit, sewage sludge from a wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) and a clay-rich sediment have been physically, chemically and mineralogically characterized. Their LWAs may have the same or similar applications as these commercial products, such as horticulture, prefabricated lightweight structures and building structures. Therefore, the study and recovery of these wastes is a challenge and an alternative that represents a future course of action.
