Tiivistelmä: | Based on several cases, this paper provides an exploratory study to examine which factors of the implementation and structuring of a divestiture (herein as: dvst/s.) may increase the performance of a divested unit. The framework consists of previously unreported aspects of the divesting process, providing new insights into dvst/s. with their outcomes. It is indicated that antecedents alone may be insufficient for understanding the outcomes of dvst/s. Perceptions of dvst/s. feasibility are affected by different combinations of understanding of the rationale for the dvst/s. and perceived capabilities in the divesting process. Sense of opportunity emerges as the key element of the divesting process for the success of divested units etc. |
