| Tiivistelmä: | Creation of various extralegal mechanisms for shaping corporate behaviour (herein as: CB) have originated due to calls for greater corporate responsibility (CR). During the last decades, the number and popularity of CR standards has grown, estimated to exceed 300 standards addressing various aspects of CB and CR. Herein, the relationship btw. CR standards and peace through commerce is explored. Concerns on the effectiveness of standards in shaping CR and the potential future role standards may have in creating peace through commerce are explored. |
