| Tiivistelmä: | In this paper, guidelines and visual design principles are reviewed for automotive instrumentation. Guidelines are compiled, categorized and analysed to determine whether they are valid and usable for today's design of information presentation in automobiles. By doing this, contradictory guidelines and gaps in knowledge get identified and discussed. However, there seems to be a consensus within the different guidelines of best practice, many still usable by today's designers. |
