Tiivistelmä:The article examines the normative consequences of economic education at the Stockholm School of Economics in Riga (SSER) and the value change among economics students. SSER is a highly selective economic school sponsored by a Swedish government. The study relies on longitudinal survey of undergraduate students at SSER and a comparison group from two Latvian universities. The results show a systematic and distinctive pattern of value change among students at SSER. Students at the SSER were found to experience a notable increase in the priority of status-oriented power, achievement and hedonism values.
