| Tiivistelmä: | This article studies the organizational changes that are caused by the implementation of certified management systems (CMS) in Denmark and investigates how institutionalized organizational practices change over time. The study demonstrates that improvements in performance were not significant in the implementation of CMS, though in most cases its adoption implicates organizational changes. The study also shows that the quest for external legitimacy was appropriated by many internal organizational actors, other than management. |
