Tiivistelmä:Concentrating on interpersonal conflict as a work stressor, a within-subjects research design was used to investigate the effect of conflicts on employees' negative affect on the job. The roles of agreeableness and social support in moderating the negative effects of conflict episodes were also investigated. A two-week experience-sampling study indicated that interpersonal conflict affected employees' intraindividual fluctuations negatively. Overall, the findings propose that both personality (agreeableness) and context (social support) substantially moderate the affective consequences of interpersonal conflict at work.
