| Tiivistelmä: | In this article, social network analysis is used to editorial board membership data for 36 of the 40 high-ranking journals composing the Financial Times list for grading business schools. Applying cluster analysis and multidimensional scaling, journals are allocated to academic fields. Academics associated with US organizations are dominant and highly ranked US organizations are in the top positions for board memberships. It is proposed that the domination of the sampled journal production system by associations could allow academic patronage to succeed. |
