Tiivistelmä:This study investigates the relationship between subordinates' ratings of their managers' behaviours and both perceived exposure and assertions of observations of bullying at work. Based on a sampling process, the data from 5288 participants in Great Britain were included in the analysis. Bullying correlated with all four leadership styles studied. "Non-contingent punishment" was the strongest predictor of self-perceived exposure to bullying, while autocratic leadership was the strongest predictor of observed bullying. Whereas respondents especially associate bullying with autocratic or tyrannical leader behaviour, bullying is connected more with non-contingent punishment. Furthermore, laissez-faire leadership was a predictor of self-reported and observed bullying.
