| Tiivistelmä: | This paper aims at answering the following research question: Which cultural characteristics in Germany and Hong Kong influence knowledge transfer? In order to answering, a qualitative and exploratory approach is used, conducting a series of 13 in-depth interviews during April and May 2008 with experts with various professional backgrounds in Hong Kong and Germany. Discussed are approaches of cultural characteristics, linked with the topic of knowledge transfer. It is shown that knowledge transfer depends on national cultural characteristics which are performance orientation, power disctance, in-group collectivism, and uncertainty avoidance. |
