| Tiivistelmä: | Tourist behaviours can be viewed as performances on a plenty of tourism stages. This article deals with tourist packing practices as planning and preparation for touristic performances, presenting a substantive theory of packing for travel. The theory is viewed using of Giddens' grand theory of self-identity. Documentary sources with tourists describing what and how they pack for air travel are analyzed. The travel bag contents is comprised of the costumes and props which a tourist thinks of helping the performance in each tourism setting etc. |
