Tiivistelmä: | Purpose of this article is to provide a method to identify the characteristics of tourists who travel with dominant movements patters. Tourist movement patters indicate how tourist combine attractions together and organize their schedules. This study is divided into three steps. In the first step, the dominant movement patterns identified using log-linear models. The second step contained dividing tourists into different segments using the EM algorithm based on geographic, socio-demographic and trip-related behavioral variables. Then this method applied to a case study that focused on tourist visiting Philip Island Nature Park in Australia. |
