Tiivistelmä:An exploratory study of 95 hotels that rebranded or rescaled their operations uncovered the possibility of long-term financial benefit after the change. In many cases, the hotels encountered an initial decline in financial results, which was followed by a gradual recovery. Hotels moving upscale generally saw increases in average daily rates. Hotels only changing brands without also changing their scale reported no notable change in financial results.
