| Tiivistelmä: | The purpose of the paper is to examine the possibilities of reducing decision uncertainty within the organizations intellectual capital operating environment. The authors draw from the resource-based view of the firm, and use structural equation modeling to test the potential of organizational design in reducing knowledge uncertainty, the perceived uncertainty in intellectual capital context. It is found that decentralization and technology infrastructure are constructs that reduce uncertainty. The results of the study indicate that by structuring organizational control systems properly, it is possible to reduce internal uncertainty. |
