| Tiivistelmä: | This article aims at exploring the micro-dimensions of knowledge transfer (KT) partnerships (KTPs) with the aim of developing an appreciation of the personal interactions easing the success of these university-industry collaborations. (henceforth as: colls.) Gathered via interviews with the key partners and the review of relevant documentary material, empirical evidence concerning the operation of three KTPs is analysed from the viewpoint of the communities of practice (CoPs) approach to situated learning. Analysing three case studies offers evidence to support the value of conceptualising the KT process btw. universities and industry as one of learning taking place within communities with the development of mutual engagement, joint enterprise and shared repertoires playing important roles for easing successful colls. etc. |
