| Tiivistelmä: | This paper aims to address a key question in strategy: How do internal resources (henceforth as: IRs) firms mediate the effect of the external resources (here as: ERs) on the firms' performance? Based on a sample of over 170 Spanish innovative firms located in the Valencia region, it is shown that firms with higher IRs exploit better ERs. It is confirmed that knowledge intensive business services providers, as a form of ERs, have a positive influence on innovative firms' performance through the mediating effect of firms' internal assets etc. |
