Tiivistelmä:Productivity refers to the relationship between the flow of output from an activity and the flows of input used to attain that output. Potential productivity is the difference between actual and most efficient or optimal productivity level. A number of concepts of potential productivity are outlined and their managerial implications discussed. Measures based on operating and lost time, peak output levels, estimating a capacity production production function and work study are compared for an envelope-making company.
