| Tiivistelmä: | The key practical lessons for the conduct of lobbying campaigns at the European Community level are considered. The attitudes towards professional lobbyists are shown reflecting on the development of public affairs consultancy activities in the UK and, contrasting with this, the more recent growth in lobbying at the EC level. Whilst refuting the assumption that future Eurolobbying will be modelled exclusively on the USA or British approach, it is stated that the Community dimension and mix of different cultural, political and national priorities add further colour and challenge to the science - or art - of lobbying. |
