Abstract (eng): This master's thesis describes the design procedure of a wireless charging device for a notebook computer.

The aim of the work was to build a transmitter-receiver-pair to examine the usability enchancement provided by total wirelessness in notebook computers.

The wireless power transfer of the system is based on a resonance inductance, theory of which is also covered in this thesis.
The technology involves usage of a strong magnetic field, therefore the safety aspects of magnetic fields is covered in this thesis.
Also related electromagnetic compability issues are studied.

This thesis covers the selection criteria of the components of the wireless power transfer system.
It also presents the technical details and functional logic of the built prototype.
Abstract (fin): Tässä diplomityössä kuvataan langattoman tehonsiirtojärjestelmän rakentamista kannettavaan tietokoneeseen.
