| Abstract: | Too many organisations find that their successes in downsizing and improving efficiency are offset by the negative effects of these processes on their employees. Are lean organisations usually mean organisations? According to the authors, the answer to that question is, yes. They describe new IPD research and offer advice to personnel professionals on how to add value and bring out the positive characteristics of such companies. |
