Abstract:In early 1997, Mr. Peter Mills and Mr. Kamjorn Aramwit, the Technical Director and Managing Director respectively of Solar Bronze (Thailand) Co.Ltd., a small company manufacturing bronze powders in Thailand, faced a number of decisions that they had to take within the year. Solar Bronze is a small bronze powder manufacturer in Thailand that was established as a Thai-British joint-venture in 1989. Over the past eight years the company, which regards itself as an "upstart" that dared to challenge the giant bronze powder manufacturers based in Europe, has managed to capture about 30% of the Thai market and has made inroads into other Asian, and even European countries, albeit modestly.
