| Abstract: | The paper presents a case study of the Vinythai that is a Thai joint venture btw. the Belgian Solvay Group and the Charoen Pokphand Group (CP) of Thailand. The case study describes each partners' motivations to invest in the petrochemical industry in Thailand and the process leading to the establishment of the joint venture. There are also other aspects dealt with. Finally, the joint venture agreement is discussed upon. |
