| Abstract: | The divestment process is reviewed in this article from the viewpoint of international retail industry. The discussion draws on data gathered in in-depth interviews carried out with current and ex- senior managers in a UK-based case firm. The decision and motivations behind the process, the divestment process itself as well as the strategic reorientation and the response of the process are considered. |
