Abstract:The concept of Person-Organisation Fit (POF) is well-known as a factor influencing employee behaviour (henceforth as: e-beh.) in many aspects, e.g. commitment, identification, intention to leave etc. This study deals with the impact of POF on another element of e-beh., that's Organisational Citizenship Behaviour (OCB), which means employees' willingness to perform extra tasks and activities not as a part of their job, without expecting any (formal or informal) compensation. This study examines the OCB concept as to an organisation's social performance, as seen by its employees. It is found that OCB is positively related to POF. When examining the correlations btw. POF and Organisational Identification (OI) levels, there is found a positive correlation btw. them, as well. When exploring the employees' Perception of Social Performance (PSP) by an organization as a moderating variable btw. POF and OCB and between OI and OCB, there is found no correlation between them. Thus, POF is found to be a meaningful factor with a strong impact on many variables of organisational behaviour.
