Abstract:The interrelated fields of knowledge management (KM), organizational learning (OL), and knowledge creating (KC) have received much literary attention over the past 20 years. The expenditure of billions of dollars in information technology infrastructure and knowledge management systems is explained by the large amounts of work generated by advocates of technology as a primary facilitator of KM, OL, and KC. Behaviourists show the effect of organizational culture on the technology, and corporate executives use terms typical to financial markets to measure success. Still, practical guidance eludes practitioners and executives.
