Abstract:By developing a structural equation model, the article aims to identify the most important factors and their impact on economically motivated managers' decisions to carry out voluntary corporate social responsibility (CSR) actions. The model developed in this article is based on Carroll's four-dimensional CSR framework, which dimensions are economic, legal, ethical and discretionary. The model also seeks to validate the Carroll's framework. The results show that it is possible to lead companies to increase voluntary CSR activities when appropriate legal and ethical controls apply.
