Abstract (eng): | The aim of this thesis was to study and develop systematic quality conformance inspection on sample work and concealed structures. Information about current quality inspection routines, development expectations and their needs at Quattro group sites has been gathered based on interviews. When quality conformance inspections have been carried out randomly compared to systematic inspections, the success of production quality and the amount of repair cycles or hidden defects have been defined by mathematic simulation. Inspections are executed on average in 53 % of the cases, when made randomly. The discovered works to be repaired is then on average 24 %. Unrepaired hidden defects are found on average in 26 % in a single working phase duty and its repairs. The proportion of hidden defects in all the faults is on average 49 % for a single work task. The proportion equals to the proportion of the repair coverage of the inspected works, i.e. 52 %. Randomly without supervision 26 % of works succeed in that case. If each working phase and its repairs were inspected systematically, the repair cycles would be 6 turns at the most. In this case 76 % of all the working places would be in order after the first repair cycle, and altogether 93 % of all the works would be confirmed as faultless after the third repair cycle. There are as many repairable cases as hidden defects to be found. The need for repair and alteration increases if the former repairs of the working phases have not been taken care of on time. At worst the faults will remain in the structures as hidden defects. It is always important to inspect the work in sample, in concealed works, and after repairs as well. It is important, on juridical point of view, to have both faulty and successful works to be documented at the site. In real life, inspections and documentation are more significant at sites, because it is possible to learn from mistakes and reduce unnecessary workload in this way. Instructions in writing have been drawn up for the use of Quattro group, including obligations for subcontractors for quality conformance inspections and for photography in any building contract, as well as for documentation of the photographs together with process flow charts. In addition, three visualizing circles have been drawn up to be used for the inspection process, when planning photography and for documentation of photographs of an assignment. |
Piilovirheiden osuus kaikista virheistä on yhden työtehtävän osalta keskimäärin 49 %, mikä on likipitäen yhtä suuri kuin korjattavien töiden osuus tarkastetuista töistä eli 52 %. |
