You can read theses on the Learning Centre customer computers, which are available on all floors.

Logging on to the customer computers

  • Aalto University staff members log on to the customer computer using the Aalto username and password.
  • Other customers log on using a shared username and password.

Opening a thesis

  • On the desktop of the customer computers, you will find an icon titled:

    Aalto Thesis Database

  • Click on the icon to search for and open the thesis you are looking for from Aaltodoc database. You can find the thesis file by clicking the link on the OEV or OEVS field.

Reading the thesis

  • You can either print the thesis or read it on the customer computer screen.
  • You cannot save the thesis file on a flash drive or email it.
  • You cannot copy text or images from the file.
  • You cannot edit the file.

Printing the thesis

  • You can print the thesis for your personal study or research use.
  • Aalto University students and staff members may print black-and-white prints on the PrintingPoint devices when using the computer with personal Aalto username and password. Color printing is possible using the printer u90203-psc3, which is located near the customer service. Color printing is subject to a charge to Aalto University students and staff members.
  • Other customers can use the printer u90203-psc3. All printing is subject to a charge to non-University members.

Abstract (eng): The objective of this thesis was to study changes that the force coming of the EASA (European Aviation Safety Agency) regulations brings to the up keeping of the airworthiness of helicopters, including maintenance and airworthiness reviews.

EASA regulations were reviewed in the study as well as the models of previously established organisations for maintenance and review tasks.
Information was collected also from aviation authorities' requirements and operation models.
A literature review was carried out to build a whole figure of organisation requirements for establishing continuing airworthiness management organization (G-organisation) and airworthiness review organisation (I-organisation).
A model for maintenance organisation's exposition (MOE) was also prepared enabling the MOE to be established in the target company Helitech Oy.

The objectives set for this thesis were reached.
Models for establishing G- and I-organisations were made and the base for writing the MOE was achieved.
Helitech Oy has established G- and I-organisations with the help of thesis results and has obtained the permissions from aviation authority.
The organisation has started its activities.
Abstract (fin): Tämän diplomityön tavoitteena oli selvittää Euroopan lentoturvallisuusviraston, EASA:n (European Aviation Safety Agency), tuomia muutoksia helikoptereiden jatkuvan lentokelpoisuuden ylläpitoon, niin huolto- kuin katsastustoimintaan.

Tutkimuksessa tarkasteltiin EASA-säännöksiä sekä jo olemassa olevista EASA-säännösten mukaisista organisaatioista huolto- ja katsastustoimintaan tarvittavia organisaatiomuutoksia.
Tietoa kerättiin lisäksi ilmailuviranomaisen vaatimuksista ja toimintamalleista.
Kirjallisuustutkimusten avulla kerättiin kokonaiskuvaa vaatimuksista jatkuvan lentokelpoisuuden hallintaorganisaation (G-organisaatio) ja lentokelpoisuuden tarkastusorganisaation (I-organisaatio) perustamiseen.
Tutkimuksessa valmisteltiin myös malli huolto-organisaation käsikirjalle (HOK), jonka pohjalta kyseinen ohjeistuskirja on tarkoitus tuottaa tarkastelun kohteena olevassa Helitech-yhtiössä.
Tutkimuksessa esiin tulleet vaatimukset ja mallit on tarkoitus sisällyttää tähän uusitun muotoiseen käsikirjaan.

Tutkimuksessa saavutettiin sille asetetut tavoitteet.
Mallit G- ja I-organisaatioiden perustamiseen sekä pohja HOK:n kirjoittamiseen saatiin tehtyä.
G- ja I-organisaation perustaminen Helitech Oy:ssä on toteutettu selvitystä hyödyntäen ja luvat on saatu paikalliselta ilmailuviranomaiselta.
Organisaatio on aloittanut toimintansa.
