Keywords: | eLearning GPRS blended learning verkko-opetus sekoitettu opettamisratkaisu |
Abstract (eng): | The goal of this Master's Thesis is to investigate how eLearning can be used to teach telecommunication professionals the features of a GPRS network element. The first theory part of the thesis introduces the evolution of eLearning into its current form, eLearning theories, different eLearning standards and knowledge management of eLearning. This part also introduces the blended learning solution, in which eLearning is only a part of the total learning solution, but considered as a specific eLearning method. In addition to these, the theory behind eLearning course creation process is also introduced. The second theory part introduces the basics of GPRS networks, such as GPRS network architecture, GPRS basic functionalities and GPRS network elements. This part also gives examples of how eLearning methods can be used to teach these subjects. The final part of the thesis introduces the actual eLearning course creation process by means of a case eLearning course where GPRS network element features are taught to students. This part also concludes how eLearning theories are put into practice. |
Abstract (fin): | Diplomityössä on tutkittu miten verkko-opetusta voidaan käyttää opetettaessa asiantuntijoille GPRS-verkkoelementtien toiminnallisuuksia. Ty6n ensimmäisessä teoriaosassa tutkitaan verkko-opettamisen kehittymistä nykyiseen muotoonsa, verkko-opettamiseen liittyviä opetusteorioita, verkko-opettamisen eri standardeja ja verkko-opettamiseen liittyvää tiedonhallintaa. Erityisenä verkko-opettamisen osa-alueena teoriaosassa esitellään sekoitettu opettamisratkaisu, jossa verkko-opettamista käytetään osana laajempaa opetusratkaisua. Tämän lisäksi teoriaosassa käydään myös lävitse verkko-opettamiskurssin luomisprosessi. Ty6n toisessa teoriaosassa esitellään GPRS verkkojen perusteet, kuten GPRS verkkoarkkitehtuuri, GPRS verkon perustoiminnallisuudet, GPRS verkkoelementit, sekä annetaan esimerkkejä miten niitä voidaan opettaa käyttämällä verkko-opetuksen mahdollistamia keinoja. Työn viimeisessä osassa esitellään millainen verkko-opetuskurssin toteuttamisprosessi kaytann6ssa on käyttämällä esimerkkinä verkko-opetuskurssia, jossa opiskelijoille opetetaan GPRS verkkoelementtiin tehtyjä lisäominaisuuksia. Tässä osassa kuvataan myös miten erilaiset verkko-opettamiseen liittyvät teoriat käytännössä toteutuvat. |
