Abstract (eng):This thesis work focuses on building an adaptive simulator for a mineral flotation process.
The online simulator receives information from the flotation plant database and continuously adapts the chosen control parameters using PID controller algorithm.
This method should increase the accuracy of the simulator.
This very accurate simulator can then be used to calculate a prognosis for the state of the real flotation process in near future.
These prognosis results could for example help inexperienced process operators to better control the process.
This work also studies the capabilities of the described simulation system.
Abstract (fin):Työssä käsitellään vaahdotusprosessin adaptoituvaa simulaattoria, jota ajetaan todellisen prosessin rinnalla.
Simulaattori saa ajantasaisia tietoja rikastamon prosessitietokannasta, joiden avulla tiettyjä simulaattorin parametrejä muokkaamalla simulaattorin vaste voidaan ajaa hyvin lähelle oikean prosessin vastetta.
Ideana on kalibroida simulaattoria jatkuvasti oikeaan toimintaympäristöön adaptoinnin avulla käyttäen ohjausparametrien viritykseen PID-säädintä.
Työssä tutkitaan myös näin rakennetun suureen tarkkuuteen pyrkivän simulaattorin toimivuutta yleensä sekä soveltuvuutta oikean prosessin vasteen ennustamiseen lähitulevaisuudessa.
Ennusteita voidaan käyttää apuna esimerkiksi ohjaushenkilökunnan ohjausvalintojen tukena.
