Abstract (eng): | In this master's thesis the measuring and control system will be designed and implemented for standardizing the operation of inhaler dose quality analysing devices. This system will be a prototype, so the main goal is to find out if it is possible to advance to the production stage. In this thesis the device will be build which produces the similar computer-guided inhale profile than human lungs produces. There are devices in the market that generate the same inhale profile than the device in this thesis, but these devices are completely manual. The motivation behind automatisation of the system is the rising number of tests that has to be done with inhalers when manufacturing volume of the inhalers increases. So the demand for the automatisated system exist. One of the main goals of the system is to produce an automatic measurement raport from the measurement data, so the human errors will be minimized. Every goal that was set in the beginning for the prototype, was reached. On top of that the new way to measure flow rate was presented. The flow rate was measured by making use of physics of critical flow and therefor separate flow rate measurement device was no longer needed. When the laboratory worker uses the manual devices that can be bought from the market, the laboratorian has to attach and detach the flow rate meter to the system. The integration of flow rate measurement allowed also to test the correctness of the inhaler dose quality analysing device before analysis. All in all the implementation of the system got a positive reaction from the laboratory workers. |
Abstract (fin): | Tässä diplomityössä suunnitellaan ja toteutetaan mittaus- ja ohjausjärjestelmä, jota käytetään inhalaattorien annosten laadun testaamiseen käytettävien mittalaitteiden toiminnan vakioimiseen. Kyseinen laite on prototyyppi, joten tavoitteena on testata onko laitteesta mahdollista rakentaa tuotantoversio, joka toimii täsmällisesti lääketeollisuudessa. Työssä rakennetaan laite, joka muodostaa ihmiskeuhkojen inhalointi-imua vastaavan virtauspulssin tietokoneohjauksella. Kyseisestä laitteesta on olemassa markkinoilla versioita, jotka mahdollistavat analyysilaitteiden käytön siten, että säädettävät suureet säädetään manuaalisesti käsikäyttöisellä säätöventtiilillä. Järjestelmän automatisoinnin motivaationa on tulevaisuudessa tapahtuva inhalaattorien testaamisvolyymien kasvaminen, joten laitteen toimintaa on nopeutettava. Tarve automatisoidulle järjestelmälle on siis olemassa. Lisäksi uuden järjestelmän tavoitteiksi asetettiin automaattisen mittausraportin tuottaminen mittausdatasta, jolloin inhimillisten virheiden osuus analyyseissä minimoidaan. Kaikki prototyypille asetetut tavoitteet saavutettiin. Lisäksi työssä esitettiin uusi tapa mitata virtausnopeus käyttäen hyväksi kriittisen virtauksen fysiikkaa, jolloin erillistä virtausmittaria ei tarvita. Nykyisin markkinoilla olevia laitteita käyttäessä on työntekijän mitattava virtausnopeus virtausmittarilla. Lisäksi työssä havaittiin, että virtausmittauksen integroiminen järjestelmään mahdollistaa myös analyysilaitteiden oikeellisuuden testaamisen. Kyseinen ominaisuus havaitsee viallisen analyysilaitteen ennen analyysien aloittamista. Järjestelmän toteutus sai käyttäjiltä positiivisen vastaanoton laitteen demotilaisuudessa. |
