Keywords: | load balancing All-IP networks clustered architecture control plane protocols diameter SIP high availability scalability performance |
Abstract (eng): | The main focus is to study and analyze the load balancing techniques for control protocols traffic in All-IP) core networks. The basic requirements for carrier-grade network platforms are high availability, scalability and performance. To meet these requirements, load balancing is introduced. Clustered network platform architecture is proposed, and the vital role of load balancers in such architecture is pointed out and studied. Different load balancing schemes, algorithms and policies are introduced, focusing on the network wide requirements. In addition, real case studies for Diameter load balancer and SIP load balancer are considered. In these case studies, the presented load balancing concepts are applied. |
