Abstract (eng): The purpose of this Master's Thesis is to study the requirements and differences of the most widely used process and certification models for IT projects and services: CMMI, ITIL, ISO/IEC20000 and IS09001 with TickIT Plus.

Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI), published by Software Engineering Institute, defines the process areas separately for development and for services and provides the method for defining process capability and organization maturity.
CMMI also has model for Acquisition, but that part is not covered in this Master's Thesis.

ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) is an IT service management framework that includes number of important processes to be used in IT services.
ITIL framework is developed and maintained by Office of Government Commerce (OGC).

TickIT Plus is a new approach for quality certification currently developed by Joint TickIT Industry Steering Committee (JTISC).
It combines many existing standard models and requirements into one certification IS09001, which will include also the capability assessment of the organization similar to the CMMI model.

This Master's Thesis contains also a case study concerning Capgemini Finland.
I will investigate the options for their selected model and evaluate how they should modify their current quality system if they selected some of the process and certification models defined in this document.

ITIL-prosessikehikon kehittämisestä vastaa Office of Government Commerce (OGC).

TickiT Plus on Joint TicklT lndustry Steering Committeen (JTISC) kehittämä uusi lähestymistapa laatusertifiointiin.
