Abstract (eng): | This Master's thesis covers connection of a frequency converter simulator to a motor model implemented with finite element method (FEM). The motor types covered are induction motor and permanent magnet motor. It is quite time consuming to calculate the FE model with as short time step as the frequency converter simulator works with. Therefore an analytical motor model is used parallel with the FE model. It means that the FE model is calculated in long intervals and the analytical model calculates the currents required by the frequency converter in between the intervals. The thesis begins with some basic level theory on inverters, motor models and FEM. In the later part a series of simulations is run with the program that was developed during the thesis work and the results are compared with each other. The thesis concludes with analysis of how successful the implementation of the program was and some ideas for further development. |
Abstract (fin): | Työssä käsitellään taajuusmuuttajasimulaattorin yhdistämistä elementtimenetelmällä toteutettuun sähkömoottorimalliin. Työssä käsiteltävinä moottorityyppeinä on oikosulkumoottori ja kestomagneettimoottori. Koska elementtimenetelmää on aikaa vievää ajaa yhtä tiheällä aika-askelluksella, kuin millä taajuusmuuttajasimulaattori toimii, käytetään työssä analyyttistä moottorimallia elementtimenetelmällä toteutetun mallin rinnalla. Elementtimenetelmää siis ajetaan pitkällä aika-askeleella, ja aika-askelten välissä analyyttinen malli laskee taajuusmuuttajan tarvitsemat virrat. Työn alussa esitetään perustason teoriaa taajuusmuuttajista, käsiteltävien moottorityyppien laskemisesta sekä elementtimenetelmästä. Työn loppuosassa ajetaan työn tuloksena syntyneellä ohjelmalla sarja simulaatioita, joita vertaillaan keskenään. Viimeisessä luvussa käsitellään ohjelmallisen toteutuksen onnistuneisuutta ja jatkokehitysmahdollisuuksia. |
