Abstract (eng): | To combine the power control methods with Wireless LAN's routing protocols is the tendency. There are so many kinds of power control methods that have been proposed, and some of them have been implemented in reality or in some simulations. However, there are so few evaluation programs or results that can be found from any kind of medium. This thesis focuses on implementing and evaluating a power control method, COMPOW (Common Power), in any kind of situation, and presents a report based on the detailed data. The data is used to compare the performance of COMPOW to the performance of some other routing protocols without using power control methods. COMPOW is implemented in a simulator, NS2 (Network Simulator 2), by combining it with an on-demand Ad-hoc routing protocol, AODV. 1be algorithm and architecture of COMPOW are given |
