Abstract (eng): | The purpose of this study was to examine the current state of live working methods in the Finnish distribution network and to identify the conditions, under which live working methods are economically and technologically feasible. Live working methods are used in distribution network building and maintenance work to avoid causing outages to customers. For the study, interviews with Finnish network operators and service providers were conducted. Also, the use of live working methods in the Nordic countries and some Central European countries was investigated. The research also includes calculations for the profitability of some live working methods. It was found that the applying of live working methods is mostly hindered by lack of awareness about the methods and attitudes in favor of traditional working methods. The results indicated a need for more co-operation between network operators and service providers in order to increase the use of live working methods. It was also discovered that live working methods can provide financial gain as the regulatory costs of outages are left out. |
Abstract (fin): | Tässä työssä selvitettiin jakeluverkon rakennus-, huolto- ja kunnossapitotöissä käytettävien jakelukeskeytyksettömien työmenetelmien nykytilaa ja kipupisteitä. |
