Abstract (eng): The goal of this study was to achieve an innovation project hosted by a company.
The purpose of this study was to define and implement a new mobile service concept that would make use of the combination of mobile social media and the technologies that enable identifying products by using barcode and the Near Field Communication (NFC) technologies.

Both the literature review and design science methods were applied in this thesis.
The literature review was conducted to clarify the necessary of the academic background knowledge and the concepts in the study such as barcode, NFC, relevant social media approach and etc.
The design science focused on implementing a prototype for the mobile service, which demonstrated how the service concept developed can be materialized.
As part of company project, the actual prototype implementation work was done by using agile software development methods that are commonly used by the company.

The principal conclusion drawn was that the innovation mobile service can be achieved based on Android mobile phones by utilizing built-in camera and KFC read functionality.
The key result of this study was the service prototype, and it was demonstrated the feasibility of the service from the technology perspective.
The prototype may be used as the base for the future implementation work.
