Abstract (eng): A dissertation or thesis is a document submitted in support of candidature for a degree or professional qualification presenting the author's research and findings.
In some countries/universities, the word thesis or a cognate is used as part of a bachelor's or master's course, while dissertation is normally applied to a doctorate, whilst, in others, the reverse is true.

We describe our experiences and insights from porting a non-trivial collaborative document editing application into the information-centric paradigm.
The application is ported over the PURSUIT project prototype -BLACKADDER.
The porting exercise is used to validate the claimed advantages of the information centric approach.

The thesis describes the architectural design of the application in the ICN paradigm.
It explains the naming convention used in the architecture and details of the implementation methodology.
The porting exercise implements only the basic features of the application.

A comprehensive efficiency analysis is performed between the ICN based application and the original application over several performance metrics.
The measurements show a performance benefits already for the ported application.
Although increased overhead is observed but its effect is minimized by the amount of parallelism generated in the ICN based application.
