Abstract (eng): Information technology develops fast and offers more and more effective applications for project management.
Project Unit of Metso Automation Flow Control decided to upgrade their project information management with a web-based Information Logistics Solution called Kronodoc.
This thesis studies the possibilities to manage projects' technical customer documentation with the new data management application.

The emphasis of the thesis is on interlinking the order processes of the documents closely to Kronodoc over the department boundaries of the company.
The research begins with a theoretical study on project management, technical documentation and Kronodoc.
It includes a present state analysis on documentation practices, information flows and the order processes of the technical customer documents of the company.
The needs and demands for the solution sought are closely determined based on the theoretical study and project stakeholders interviews.

The results are given based on the research findings primary for EHC projects of Project Unit, but are also considered from a larger perspective.
The research results to an automated file transfer process proposal between the product data management system of the company, a network drive folder and the database of Kronodoc.
Conclusions about the results are done to sum up the presented research analysis and justify the earlier given result.
Recommendations at the end of the research list down the further actions to be done and recommend the solution proposed to be taken in use from the next new project on.
