Abstract (fin):Diplomityössä aika-alueen differenssimenetelmän (ns.
FDTD-menetelmä) tarkkuutta, sekä suorituskykyä parannetaan erilaisten tekniikoiden avulla.
FDTD-menetelmä on käyttökelpoinen, ja laajalle levinnyt sähkömagneettinen laskentamenetelmä, mutta monimutkaisissa rakenteissa runsaasti laskentakapasiteettia vaativa.
Tässä työssä esitellään tekniikoita menetelmän parantamiseksi.
Aluksi esitellään menetelmän perusominaisuuksia.
Seuraavaksi muuttuvan laskentahilan luominen on esitetty kahdella tapaa.
Ensimmäinen menetelmä on muuttuva solukoko, ja toinen alisolumenetelmä.
Kolmas parannus on absorpoiva reunaehto.
Esitellyillä menetelmillä on mahdollisuus parantaa FDTD:n mahdollisuuksia huomattavasti.
Menetelmien toimivuus on esitetty ja testattu numeeristen esimerkkien avulla
