Abstract (eng): The reeling of paper causes significant production losses due to the reel bottom waste.
Vibration during reeling is one significant cause for reeling problems.
The most important factor causing uncontrolled variations on reeling is the individual differences of different reel spools.

The aim of the study was to examine the effect of the individual differences of reel spools on vibration during reeling.
Some reel spools were equipped with accelerometers during re-reeling of paper rolls.
The acceleration data was analysed to find out the maximum and average values of dislocations of each reel spool during reeling.
Even the general nature of vibration phenomena occurring during reeling was investigated.
Great differences were found on vibration levels during reeling with different reel spools.

The same reel spools were measured with a roll dynamics measuring device on the roll grinding shop.
A correlation was found between vibration measurements on re-reeler and results of roll dynamics measurements.
The reel spools found to be vibrating much during reeling were also recognizable from others by mere roll dynamics measurements.

The most important factors inducing vibration were reel spool unbalance caused by bent journals and errors in bearing elements.

The results were used to define limit values for different key ratios given by the roll dynamics measuring device.
This makes it possible to find the defective reel spools outside the production conditions and to repair them before letting them back to production.
Abstract (fin): Paperin rullauksen yhteydessä syntyy huomattavia määriä hukkapaperia, jonka määrää pyritään vähentämään.
Merkittävä rullausta haittaava tekijä on värähtely rullauksen aikana.
Tärkein hallitsemattomia eroja eri rullausten välille aiheuttava tekijä on rullauksessa käytettävä tampuuritela.

Työn tavoitteena oli selvittää tampuuritelojen yksilöllisten erojen vaikutuksia paperin välirullauksen aikaisiin värähtelyihin.
Joukko tampuuriteloja anturoitiin kiihtyvyysantureilla välirullauksen ajaksi ja mittaustuloksista laskettiin niiden suurimmat ja keskimääräiset siirtymät rullauksen aikana.
Työssä selvitettiin myös yleisellä tasolla rullauksen aikana esiintyviä värähtelyilmiöitä.
Rullauksen aikaisissa värähtelytasoissa todettiin olevan merkittäviä eroja eri tampuuriteloilla.

Välirullaimella mitatut telat mitattiin myös telahiomossa teladynamiikan mittalaitteella.
Teladynamiikkamittausten ja rullauksen aikaisten värähtelymittausten tulosten välille löydettiin yhteyksiä, joiden avulla välirullaimella eniten värähtelevät telat voidaan tunnistaa pelkkien teladynamiikkamittausten avulla.

Tärkeimmiksi värähtelyä aiheuttaviksi tekijöiksi todettiin tampuuritelojen akselien taipumasta johtuva epätasapaino ja virheet laakerien vierintäradassa.

Mittausten perusteella määritettiin dynamiikkamittausten eri tunnusluvuille raja-arvot, joita tela ei saa ylittää.
Tämä mahdollistaa huonokuntoisten telojen erottamisen muista tuotantoprosessin ulkopuolella, jolloin ne on mahdollista huoltaa kuntoon ennen niiden päästämistä takaisin tuotantoon.
