Abstract (eng): | Distribution network condition management, among network usage and construction, is a key part in the strategy of distribution network company. The goal of condition management is to maintain and overhaul distribution network so that it stays operational during its lifetime. This thesis inspects the condition management practices of Caruna Oy and Caruna Espoo Oy and seeks to understand how they link to asset management. Condition practices contain information from condition inspections and inspection intervals. In addition, distribution network condition management obligations and principles were also studied. The goal of this thesis is to reform current condition hierarchy and innovate how inspections could be improved in the future. Condition hierarchy defines what results are collected from condition inspections and how they are categorized. This thesis studies how condition maintenance is currently performed and what kind of inspection intervals are used. Sources for this study are mainly from the company's internal maintenance handbook and other documents involved in maintenance. Condition observations from the network information service are also analyzed. Studying condition observations reveals how condition observations show up during the lifetime of different components. This thesis observes that present condition hierarchy contains plenty of excessive condition rows and action proposals, which are not important in the company's strategy. Furthermore, it is noticed that inspection intervals can be prolonged for example for distribution cabinets and secondary substations. The thesis also concludes that tree clearing is worth executing only when aerial photography shows real need for it. |
Abstract (fin): | Sähkönjakeluverkon kunnossapito on sähköverkon rakentamisen ja käytön ohella keskeinen osa-alue sähköverkkoyhtiön strategiassa. |
