Abstract (eng): | The goal of the thesis was to create a functional and scalable system, in which an electric meter monitors seniors. Electric meter is capable to identify devices from the electric current, which flows through the electric meter, because the devices are causing changes in the electric current. By observing these changes, one can detect and identify electric devices and with these observations one can monitor seniors and how they use their electric devices. In this thesis a meter reading server was designed and developed, which reads this data from the electric meter and writes it to a special warehouse for analyzing. Warehouse is an easy and proper way to store data. Also, the thesis covers how the data should be analyzed and used in the matter of senior monitoring. Also, the thesis presents a few possible monitoring methods and how well do these methods work with real data. In this case, electric meter appears to be a very good monitoring device. Electric device identification is not completely confident, but confident enough. Changes in the electric current might be same with different electric devices, which make the identification non-confident. |
Abstract (fin): | Tämän työn tavoitteena oli luoda toimiva ja hyvin skaalautuva järjestelmä, jossa sähkömittarilla valvotaan senioreita. |
