Abstract (eng): | The growth of building information modelling has created a need to find out ways to increase the use of building information modelling-based structural analysis in reinforced concrete designing. The main purpose of this thesis was to study the use of TS-Robot-link between Tekla Structures 18.0 and Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis Professional 2011 for data exchange of an analysis model and to assess its impact on work productivity. This thesis created guidelines for creating an analysis model and for its data exchange. These guidelines enable the user to understand how the model integration between these programs takes place. The data exchange for Tekla Structures software analysis model was examined as a case study, in which building information models created by Finnmap Consluting Ltd were used as targets. The data exchange examination revealed that the direct link did not enable the use of Robot software's structural analysis. This thesis examines the problems of data exchange, according to which Tekla Ltd. development department updated the tested TS-Robot-link. Identical analysis models of the reference target were created, and calculation results of these two models were compared using the updated direct link. The calculation results of internal forces and structural analysis were equal in accuracy. In addition, the impact on work productivity in building information modelling-based structural analysis was estimated. The method was found beneficial if changes are made to the model. The integration of these two programs will increase quality and productivity of the design process, when model accuracy and procedures are clearly defined. The main conclusion of the study was that building information modelling-based structural analysis in reinforced concrete designing is possible to implement with the given TS-Robot-link. The application programming interface still includes minor problems in data exchange, but these can be ignored with different measures. Continuous development of the direct link is important for successful data exchange and getting a maximum benefit of it. |
Abstract (fin): | Tietomallintamisen yleistyminen on luonut tarpeen selvittää mahdollisuuksia lisätä tietomallipohjaisen rakenneanalyysin hyödyntämistä betonirakenteiden suunnittelussa. Tekla Structures -ohjelmalla luodun analyysimallin tiedonsiirtoa tutkittiin tapaustutkimuksena, jossa tarkasteltaviksi kohteiksi valittiin Finnmap Consulting Oy:n toteuttamia tietomalleja. Analyysimallien tiedonsiirtoa tutkittaessa havaittiin, ettei testattava ohjelmistolinkki mahdollistanut Robot -ohjelman mitoitustoimintoja. Työssä selvitettiin ilmenneet tiedonsiirron ongelmat, minkä perusteella Tekla Oy:n kehitysosasto päivitti testattavaa ohjelmistolinkkiä. Tutkielman referenssikohteesta luotiin tarkasteltavilla ohjelmilla identtiset analyysimallit, joiden laskentatuloksia vertailtiin päivitetyn ohjelmistolinkin avulla. |
