Abstract (eng): | The purpose of this thesis is to analyze the different operational aspects of Deemec Oy's contemporary recruitment and project management methods, and suggest improvements on them. Deemec Oy is a mid-sized engineering company situated in Hyvinkää, Finland, the core competences of which focus on providing engineering services to the industry in southern Finland. The thesis has been done for Deemec Oy in the years 2014-2015 from the vantage point of the sales manager of the company. The main focus of the thesis has been the collection of case analysis analyzing the recruitment and task assessment processes of Deemec. The supporting source material has been collected from the common literature of project management and human resource sourcebooks. This thesis contains nine case studies, as well as a round of phone interviews on subcontracting. The methods of this study are mostly based on the empirical needs of the company. The results of this study contain a set of tools designed to help the future recruitment and task-assessment needs of Deemec Oy. As the recruitment needs of the client company are often vague at best, the thesis suggests the recruitment process to be as flexible and quantifiable as possible. The study also highlights the necessity of networking in a professional environment as well as the impossibility of determining future needs of a client company. |
Abstract (fin): | Diplomityön tavoitteena on analysoida Deemec Oy:n nykyisiä rekrytointi- ja projektinhallintamenetelmiä ja muodostaa uusia tapoja määritellä yrityksen projekteja ja rekrytointiprosesseja. Deemec Oy on Hyvinkäällä toimiva keskisuuri insinööritoimisto, joka välittää työntekijöitä Etelä-Suomen yritysten suunnittelu- ja tuotekehitystarpeisiin. Työ on tehty Deemec Oy:lle vuosina 2014-2015 kirjoittajan ollessa yrityksen myyntipäällikön asemassa. Diplomityön tuloksena on laadittu uusia työkaluja helpottamaan Deemec Oy:n tulevaa rekrytointia. |
